Thank you to our students, teachers, staff and school community for helping us reach our pop top goal of 33 gallons for the Ronald McDonald House. We delivered our final collection with over 18 gallons being donated!! Way to go SRE STARS! For the year, we donated 34 gallons of pop tops.

Congratulations to the Class of 2024. We are so proud of you! 🎓 Grad Walk 2024
Friday was such a wonderful day seeing the students in their cap and gowns and getting to celebrate their hard work. The Grads were able to parade the halls as the little Stars ⭐️ cheered them on at each turn. We took pictures with them and their families, watched them catch up with old friends and they saw some of their old teachers from their days here at SRE. Student from all over the Lowcountry returned back to SRE to do their final walk as a once before BCSD student.
There were so many laughs and smiles.. and even some tears. The pride on our staff and families faces showed through! What a special day! 💙
Congrats again to all of our rising Stars!

As a way of continuing to promote child nutrition and adding to the many celebrations capping the end of the school year, Berkeley County School District’s Office of Child Nutrition Services will launch a special giveaway next week (May 20–24) that will offer some big prizes.
Elementary, middle and high school students eating lunch and/or breakfast next week will be entered into a drawing for prizes that include, but are not limited to:
*iPads
*Wireless earbuds/headphones
*Underwater cameras
*Projectors
*Action cameras
*Bluetooth speakers
Students will receive one entry into the drawing for each meal they eat. Winners will be drawn at random, and those who eat multiple meals will obviously have an increased chance of winning.

May the 4th be with you! BCSD Family Night with the Charleston Battery is going to be a blast!

Last Friday our students were so excited to be welcomed to school by the Stratford High School Varsity Softball team for High-Five Friday!
It was wonderful to see Coach Ackerman and her team enjoying our students and welcoming them to school bright and early. We look forward to so many more days where their students and athletic teams show up for our students who look up to them in such big ways. Being a role model is an important goal, and these young ladies embodies that.

Our students have been collecting pop tops all year to deliver to the Ronald McDonald House to help families in need. This past month we were able to take four 5 gallon buckets of pop tops. Send in your pop tops! We hope to make another drop off by the end of the school year!

Today, Sangaree Elementary held our 2023-2024 Leader In Me, Leadership Day! Our staff and students did such a wonderful job showcasing how special we are!
We started the morning with a Pep Rally, where we celebrated our goals, announced our celebrations and the SRE Star Cheerleaders performed their cheers about Leaders.
Our wonderful Dance Club, danced their hearts out on stage and did a fabulous job.
Then, our Soaring Singer Chorus took the stage to sing about our Habits, being strong leaders and being the best version of our selves. Our Leadership Super Hero's also put on a skit to highlight each of the 8 Habits!
The visitors were escorted through the halls to listen to our speakers highlight all of the amazing things we have going on at SRE.
We had some wonderful visitors from all over Berkeley County to enjoy the show and see our amazing SRE STARS work! Our students are true leaders and one of a kind!! We are so proud to be STARS! ⭐️
